Here we are in a modern capital city. The children are quite impressed. We have been to on mall so far (10 minutes up the road). It is dead posh, internal waterfall and a waterpark on the roof! Would you believe it a Tesco is here too! I don’t know if I am pleased at the familiar or shocked by globalisation. The plus side though is Jacob and I get to go and watch The Hobbit.DSCF4756

We dragged the children away from the mall long enough to find a night market. No hour long wait for food here. Louise loved people watching, and just as Jacob started to moan about not being allowed to bring the kindle, the cook fired up the wok. Within minutes there were plates of sticky rice, huge prawns, tempura squid and a chicken coconut soup in front of us.

Hmm there seems to be  a theme developing in Bangkok. Martin’s pies are just not going to be the same.
