Jaipur 8 – 11 Sept.

Arrived at 1:30 this morning. Dived into a hotel, I have no idea where we are, I do know the hotel is not mentioned in the Lonely Planet (the bible), which is nice.

Not nice enough as we soon moved to a more/less Indian guest house. Everyone is happy. There is a lovely garden, with peacock. Painted decor and films on the TV. Oh and a mention in the bible.

Jaipur is busy and pink. Today we visited the marajahs palace.  Jacob and I spent a good while in the armoury. Hope that covers history. We then went to the monkey temple. I did not feel very spiritual since I had to push one of the blighters from my leg, must be the wrong spray. (Lynx chocolate, if you are wondering. I will buy my own sometime.) The children thought it was very funny. I laughed too; when the little ….. stole their nuts.

Keep smiling.

I went to a monkey temple By Louise

This was not the offending monkey mentioned by Louise.

This was about an hour before the storm broke and it was very very hot. I think the monkey is feeling some tension too.

Lots of people like to get their photo taken with Louise. She is pretty patient. For some reason Angela insisted on her photo with this guy too..

The children had a great time playing in the warm rain.

Quite an arty photo – well done Jacob.

Here we are at the Palace of the Winds. Not even stories of harems could lift interest away from when the next cool drink was coming.

  5. What do you do if a camel gets in the way? Milly

    • You have to be very carefull they don’t spit. They spit horrible green stuff from their mouth. One spat at the man when I was leading it. The camel wanted food and the men were making camp. The camel safari was good, the best bit was that I got my own camel. It was the biggest one there. Missing you Milly lotts of love louise xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
